About Us

Gambit is the AI-native resilience platform that ensures digital continuity never expires. It unifies governance across cloud, backups, security tools, and IaC, mapping applications, identifying gaps, and validating recovery paths in real time. Gambit turns resilience assumptions into business certainty before an incident ever occurs.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Technical Account Manager, you own a book of roughly 9 to 15 enterprise accounts end to end, from kickoff through renewal, and you do it independently: your work does not get reviewed before it reaches a customer. You make sure each customer actually gets more resilient with Balens, can prove it to their board and regulators, and renews and grows.

The difference from the level below is judgment. You handle multi-cloud estates, regulated customers, difficult executive conversations, and ambiguous findings without a safety net, and you mentor newer TAMs while making the team's playbooks better. You do not carry a quota; you carry retention, adoption, posture improvement, and the trust of the accounts you own.

About the Role

  • Onboarding. Confirm success criteria in writing, drive the implementation plan, and validate business application mapping, criticality tiering, and RTO and RPO targets with the customer.
  • Posture advisory. Translate Balens findings into prioritized remediation plans tied to business impact, engineering effort, and risk retired, and advise on backup policy, immutability, isolation, and clean recovery paths.
  • Compliance evidence. Build control-level evidence packages for internal audit, external auditors, and regulators across DORA, NIS2, SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST.
  • Executive reviews. Own the quarterly business review with executive sponsors, and produce posture assessments and cost-of-remediation analyses verified against real data.
  • Escalations and renewal risk. Own escalations end to end, including severity-one events; maintain a risk register and renewal readiness assessment for every account; and hand expansion signals to the Account Executive with the technical justification already built.
  • Team and product. Mentor newer TAMs, improve the team's playbooks and templates, and represent customers to Product and R&D with evidence-backed demand.

Requirement

  •  7+ years in technical account management, customer success engineering, technical consulting, solutions architecture, or post-sale technical delivery, with at least 3 years owning enterprise accounts directly.
  • Deep working knowledge of at least one major cloud, with hands-on experience across backup and disaster recovery: retention, immutability and WORM, replication, restore point hygiene, and RTO and RPO planning, applied to real enterprise environments rather than in theory.
  • Experience supporting an enterprise customer through an audit or compliance review, producing evidence mapped to controls under at least one of DORA, NIS2, SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST, plus a working understanding of infrastructure as code and how drift happens in practice.
  • Comfortable querying APIs, working with JSON, and building your own analyses without waiting on someone else, with growing use of AI tooling to speed up customer-facing work.
  • A track record of retention and expansion across a book of enterprise accounts, including at least one at-risk account you stabilized.
  • Credible in front of CISOs and infrastructure leaders without support from leadership, with executive-facing deliverables you personally built.
  • Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of peers, and contributing improvements that others on your team adopted.
  • Comfort operating without established process, four years of college-level courses in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, and openness to up to 20% travel.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience at a cyber resilience, backup and recovery, data protection, CSPM, or observability vendor, or with platforms such as Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity, or Commvault
  • Prior hands-on experience as a cloud, infrastructure, SRE, or security engineer
  • Experience working with agentic AI tooling or MCP-based integrations in a customer-facing context
