Gambit integrates with Cyera to prioritize recovery gaps by data sensitivity and business impact

Most resilience gaps are evaluated through infrastructure context alone: which resource is affected, how severe the finding is, and how many similar resources have the same issue.

That does not tell you whether one gap affects a temporary development resource while another puts customer records, payment data, intellectual property, or a mission-critical business system at risk.

It also leaves a harder question unanswered: can the organization recover the sensitive data and systems the business depends on most?

Gambit now integrates with Cyera to provide that context.

What the integration does

Cyera classifies sensitive data across resources in AWS, Azure, and GCP. Gambit pulls those classifications automatically and attaches them to the resources and business systems it already tracks. Every recovery and backup finding can then be evaluated in the context of the data it affects, per resource and per system.

Teams can immediately see whether the affected resource stores or processes sensitive, regulated, customer-centric, or otherwise critical information.

That context also carries into the business-system view. Teams can understand which mission-critical systems depend on sensitive data, assess whether those systems are recoverable in line with business needs, and focus remediation on the gaps with the greatest downstream impact.

When a gap affects regulated data, such as payment, health, or personal information, the relevant classification is visible as well. That helps teams see where requirements such as GDPR, DORA, or HIPAA may need to inform retention and recovery decisions.

Why it matters

Teams can prioritize a resilience gap on the sensitivity and importance of the data behind it, not the infrastructure alone. Gaps affecting the most sensitive data and mission-critical systems rise to the top.
